Manabiya Iowa - Hiyoko Club

Our second semester has been full of cultural learning through out the seasons.
We had our summer festival, mini sports day and Shichigosan and the celebration of young children in the fall.  Now it is time to learn about getting ready for new year.

As our theme learning this semester is to make a Japanese calendar.  They have learned the names and meaning of each month.  They have also learned about national holidays.
Each student picked the month to create the calendar and the picture and they are finishing them up.  They will have a 2019 Japanese calendar by the end of this year.

The theme of next Hiyoko Club is "Getting ready for new year".  Manabiya students and Hiyoko kids will enjoy the time with story telling, sing some songs, crafts and more!
